(2007-5768) Sand patterns at Applecross Bay
The bay at the small village of Applecross is quite large and when the tide is out is a marvellous place to paddle, investigate the shells and seaweeds or just stroll across contemplating the view. I saw the patterns left by the receding tide a couple of days before the light was perfect to get this view - it was overcast but relatively bright which brought out these ripples beautifully. The difficult bit was finding a composition without footprints, but being there at just the right time helped.
