5. Crowden Brook

(2008-2734) Crowden Brook
This view of Crowden Clough and Brook was taken on a beautiful sunny day. This route up to Kinder is just too pretty for its own good. The views are beautiful, the only sounds are of the brook rattling over rocks, a few sheep and the calls of Red Grouse and the occasional train passing through the Hope Valley!
This view was taken from a similar viewpoint to that Poucher took although once again the view has changed; in this case the dry stone walling along the clough is now, in 2008, somewhat more dilapidated. What hasn't changed, however, is the splendour and feeling of isolation as you ascend.
